WORKSHOP RECAP

From January 14 to 18, I had the pleasure of working with a great group in the studio -- Hanna, Meghan, Jeremy, Michelle, Matthew, Heather, Vargas, and Marie. Weeks like this are a reminder of why I continue to teach.

What made this group special wasn’t only the work that emerged, but the way the work was approached. There was a shared sense of purpose and intentionality from the very beginning, a willingness to slow down, to look closely, and to engage deeply with both the material and one another. Creativity unfolded naturally, supported by teamwork, thoughtful conversation, and plenty of shared laughter along the way.

By the end of the week, the tables held more than finished pieces. They held evidence of attention, patience, and care — qualities that can’t be forced, only cultivated. I’m grateful for the energy each person brought into the studio and for the ways they supported one another throughout the week.

Thank you all for a memorable workshop. It was a pleasure to spend these days working alongside you.
