Effective June 9, 2026. Stephen Procter Studios (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates stephenprocter.com (the “Site”) and offers in-person and online pottery workshops. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect - Information you give us: name, email address, phone, billing and shipping details, and any message content when you book a workshop, buy the online course, join our mailing list, or contact us. - Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe collects and processes your card details to complete your purchase and any scheduled installment payments, and may set its own cookies during checkout. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy. - Information collected automatically: our Site runs on Squarespace, which may collect standard analytics and device data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) and set cookies. How we use your information — to process bookings and payments (including scheduled installments), enroll you and send your confirmation, provide workshop logistics, respond to inquiries, send periodic newsletters if you opt in, keep records, and comply with legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with — service providers who help us run the business: Stripe (payments), Squarespace (hosting, store, email), and our email/newsletter tools. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Cookies — our Site and our payment processor use cookies to operate the store, process payments, and understand Site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect checkout.
Data retention — we keep booking and payment records as long as needed to provide the workshop, meet legal/tax/accounting requirements, and resolve disputes, then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices and rights — you may contact us at info@stephenprocter.com to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to unsubscribe from emails (every newsletter also has an unsubscribe link). Residents of certain states (e.g., California, Connecticut, Vermont) may have additional rights under their state laws; contact us, and we will honor applicable requests.
Data security — we use reputable providers (Stripe, Squarespace) that maintain industry-standard security and PCI-DSS compliance for payment data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Breach notification — if a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Vermont Attorney General as required by Vermont law (notice to affected residents without unreasonable delay and no later than 45 days; notice to the Attorney General within 14 business days).
Children — our workshops and Site are intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes — we may update this policy and will post the new effective date here.
