TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective July 9, 2026. By using this Site or booking a workshop or course, you're agreeing to these Terms. They're written in my voice, but the party you're contracting with is Stephen Procter Studios, LLC (“I,” “me,” “my,” the “Studio”).

Who I am

I'm Stephen Procter, and I run Stephen Procter Studios, LLC, a Vermont limited liability company based in Brattleboro, Vermont.

What I offer

In-person workshop — “Mastering Big Pots”: five days at the wheel beside me, in Brattleboro. Seven potters, one wheel each, tuition $1,800.

Online course — “Sectional Throwing to Scale-Up”: a self-paced video program on working at large scale — $300, one payment, yours to keep for life.

Booking, payment, and installments

$600 holds your place. You can pay the full $1,800 at checkout, or reserve with a $600 deposit and let the rest follow automatically: two more payments of $600, charged by Stripe about 30 and 60 days after you book — always finished before your session starts. Both options are on the booking page. Enrollment for each session closes about 10 weeks out, so the full balance is always collected before the workshop begins; closer to the date, only pay-in-full is available. A payment plan requires a customer account (no guest checkout for payment plans).

By choosing a payment plan, you're authorizing me, through Stripe, to charge your card automatically on the scheduled dates until the $1,800 is paid.

Order acceptance

Booking is an offer to buy; I may decline or cancel an order — say, if a session is full, there's a pricing error, or the eligibility requirements aren't met — and I'll refund anything you were charged for a declined order.

Am I ready for this?

The workshop is built for intermediate-to-professional potters: you should be able to comfortably center and throw 5 lbs of clay. You're the best judge of your own fit — write to me first if you're not sure.

Getting here

You're responsible for your own travel (the nearest airport is Hartford, CT — BDL — about 75 miles  away) and lodging. I'm glad to share lodging  suggestions once you've booked.

Failed installment payments

If a scheduled payment fails, your card is retried automatically and no further installments are charged until the missed one clears; you'll get an email to update your card. If it keeps failing, I may cancel the plan and release your seat, under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Material fees

Clay used in the workshop is covered by tuition. If you'd like to keep your work, greenware is $2/lb and fired work is $5/lb (post-firing weight); pickup or shipping is required within 30 days of firing.

Online course license

Buying Sectional Throwing to Scale-Up gives you a personal, non-transferable license to watch it for your own use. Please don't copy, share, redistribute, or resell the videos.

Intellectual property

Everything on the Site, the course videos, and all related materials belong to Stephen Procter Studios, LLC and are protected by law.

Assumption of risk / waiver

The in-person workshop is hands-on studio work with real hazards; joining is subject to the separate Liability Waiver, which you'll agree to before or upon arrival.

Disclaimers

The workshop and course are provided “as is” — I can't promise a specific artistic outcome. To the fullest extent the law allows, my total liability from a purchase is limited to what you paid for it.

Governing law and venue

These Terms, and any dispute over a purchase or your use of the Site, are governed by Vermont law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Vermont.

Changes

I may update these Terms; whichever version was in effect when you purchased governs that purchase.
