LANDSCAPE VESSELS

The vessels pictured below are forms that I enjoy returning to and are the core of the Studio’s production practice. Their designs seek to reconcile the proportional principles of ancient Mediterranean pottery with nature’s forms of fecundity and gestation — seed pod, hive, cocoon, and pregnant belly. The stoniness of their simple, unglazed surfaces easily enters conversation with plantings and the natural elements present in the gardens and landscapes where they often land. They are available on a commission basis
