The Artist

A QUEST FOR FORM,

SCALE, AND PRESENCE

For more than three decades I have worked in clay, reaching for the eloquent gesture that lifts the veil for a moment. My vessels are an investigation into scale, curve, and volume, and how it is that a form carries meaning and moves us.

ESTABLISHED FORMS

The forms I return to, each thrown and wood-fired by hand. Because they pass through flame, no two surfaces are ever quite alike. These are available to acquire directly.

A commission is a new one-of-a-kind work, shaped with you for the place it will live. Established forms you can acquire directly live in the Studio Collections.

STUDY WITH ME IN

IN VERMONT

A few times each year I open my studio to a small handful of potters who want to learn to work at large scale. There is an in-person week and an online course to begin.
