Destinations and Sanctuaries
Installation at Blithewold

Blithewold, the renowned mansion, gardens and arboretum in Bristol, RI, hosted a season-long outdoor exhibit of my work in 2016. The 18 large vessels created for Destinations and Sanctuaries show the influence of the setting:  Organic forms suggestive of seed pod, cocoon and hive meld with classical proportions. As several visitors said, "The pieces look as though they grew here!"

Inn on Putney Road
Fall Garden Installation

I have installed more than dozen of my pieces in the garden and grounds of the Inn on Putney Road, a charming B&B just north of downtown Brattleboro. The gardens behind the Inn are a quiet oasis and one of Brattleboro’s hidden gems. Owners John and Cindy Becker welcome visitors to take self-guided tours of the outdoor display during daylight hours.

Gallery at Simon Pearce
Fecund Forms

The work pictured below came out of the kiln in early summer. The generous bellies of this group reflect the fecundity of springtime (and the pregnancy of my daughter-in-law!). These pieces are currently on display at Gallery at Simon Pearce in Quechee, Vermont.

Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Gardens at Elm Bank

In June I installed three large pieces at Massachusetts Horticultural Society's Gardens at Elm Bank In Wellesley, MA. The pieces were included in the New England Sculptors Association exhibit that was up through early October.
